Waxing - Depilation

Waxing known as Depilation is a treatment to remove unwanted body hair.

There are many different methods of hair removal products such as:

• Bleaching
• Plucking
• Shaving
• Threading
• Hot Wax
• Warm Wax
• Sugar Wax

Waxing is the most effective form of hair removal as it removes the hair from the root.
I use a creamy warm wax which is applied by spreading it thinly onto the skin. A cotton strip is applied over the waxed area and is removed with a quick pulling movement allowing the hairs to be removed from the root.

Waxing usually lasts between 4-6 weeks.

The benefits of having a waxing treatment are:

• Lasts between 4-6 weeks due to hair being removed from the root.
• Hair grows back softer.
• Over time hair may become much thinner looking.

Some Do's and Don'ts

• Do have regular waxing.
• Do body brush daily to eliminate ingrowing hairs.
• Do use a body scrub at least twice a week to remove dead skin from the body.
• Do not expose yourself to the Sun , sunbeds, saunas for at least 24 hours after a wax
• Do not use products (i.e. perfume, shower creams, soap, body creams) for at least 24 hours after a wax.
• Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours after a wax.
• Do not shave between waxing appointments.
